Momenteel staat de teller op 10,9 miljoen betalende klanten, maar Blizzard zegt niet tevreden hiermee te zijn en dat ze nog meer mensen naar de wondere wereld van Warcraft willen trekken. Het is goed mogelijk dat ze hun gewenste boost krijgen na de release van de tweede uitbreiding: Wrath of the Lich King.
